Proposal

I have chosen to do my personal project about crime. This is because there are many factor both Socio and Economical that would lead a person to crime. Another reason is that I have been interested of the benefits of becoming a criminal even though it's against the society's norm.    

The way I’ll create my work would be through a combination of photography, Adobe illustrator and Photoshop and the use of primary and secondary research.

I want to have my work to look like a person in a stereotypical clothing standing in front of a wall with his hands in his jumper and head looking down, while words such as 'scum' and 'Delinquent' etc., and start to swirl around him. While on the mirrored side below the main subject is curled up and the underlying reasons behind crime starts to swirl outwards. Another idea would be an air spray can with cuffs around it while it is being dragged away.

I was inspired by these two pictures because the one of the left shows how far society has taken on cracking down on what it deems as anti-social activity. While the one on the right shows how bad it is to do a single crime no matter how desperate your situation is.    

My initial research would consist of myself going to the library to research famous artist such as Salvador Dali and Picasso, after this I would also be looking through the Psychological and Under lying Behavior of Criminals  to find reasons on why criminals to what they do. I'll also draw a rough sketch of my design and I’ll get them to put a comment on the sketch. My pre production would be gathering actors and costumes as well as booking out a camera for the photo shoot.   

I will print my final piece of work on a dark piece of card and place it on the mounting walls.
